At least 52 people were killed in a fire in a passenger bus in northwestern Kazakhstan. Two passengers and 55 passengers were told that the bus carrying Uzbek citizens was on board.
After the fire, five people were able to escape from the bus, the local media reports said that rescuers were being treated on the spot.
This incident took place at 10:30 am local time in Kazakhstan’s Acetob Elba. It is not clear what caused the bus fire.
A local journalist posted an image of a burned car in Instagram.
It is believed that the bus was going to Russia or returning to Samara-Shyamkant route. Generally, Uzbek laborers are taken to various construction sites in Russia using this route, two thousand two hundred kilometers long.
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Services said in a statement that five passengers were given medical treatment. They also confirmed the death of the rest.
