Wifi usage is increasing on a regular basis on smartphone, computers, laptops, tablets and drones. To maintain this consistency, researchers are coming to the next generation of WiFi technology ‘WiFi 6’ next year.
WiFi 6 may be unveiled at the Consumer Electronic Show or CES 2020 in the first week of January. An exhibition on technology with the world’s latest technology will be held in Las Vegas, USA from January 7 to 10.
In the meantime, Apple has leveraged WiFi 6 technology on their iPhone 11 Series and Samsung in their Note 10 series.
The next generation of WiFi features a new feature called ‘target walk time’. This will allow for more battery backup on Wi-Fi connected devices than before.
With this, the data transfer speed is also faster than before. WiFi 6 will be up to 5 percent faster than WiFi 40%. The new WiFi will be able to deliver higher speeds due to more efficient data encoding technology than ever before.
